By William Koblensky Varela, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, Nunavut News The federal government has promised to create a $50-million fund to build Inuit Nunangat University and the minister of Indigenous Services Canada has faith the Inuit Child First Initiative will continue, MP Lori Idlout told Nunavut News. Idlout said the Prime Minister\u2019s Office told her that the federal government would match the contribution made by national Inuit organization Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami (ITK) to build an Inuit-led university in the North.
