Keith Chiasson told reporters at the legislature recently that the original 2017 deal between the provincial government and the six Indigenous communities dotting the St. John River and its tributaries was mostly about royalties, years before the Wolastoqey filed a massive title claim for more than half of New Brunswick, including the Sisson Brook area about 100 kilometres northwest of Fredericton.
