It is based on the life of her mother Martha Eliza Soonias Stiff. “It was 1999 when that strange little conversation that was sort of between (my mother and me) but not between us happened,” said Good, who is a member of the Red Pheasant Cree Nation in Saskatchewan. “And I felt an obligation ever since then.
