The Six Nations member recently defended his men’s title at the Ontario Indigenous Golf Championship. Monture Jr. captured his second straight crown at the three-day event, which concluded on Aug. 19. He finished four strokes ahead of the second-place finisher, Ky Horn, a member of Mohawk Council of Kahnawake in Quebec. Horn had won the tourney in back-to-back years in 2023 and ’24. For Monture, this was the third time he’s won the tournament. He also took top honours at the inaugural event held in 2022.
