The Tsleil-Waututh Nation posted the announcement on their website last week, saying the chief has made the decision to step down due to health and wellness considerations. “This is one of the most difficult decisions I have ever made,” George said in the Nation’s announcement. “Serving as chief has been one of the greatest honours of my life.
