Man facing impaired driving charges

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – A Jarvis man is facing impaired driving charges after OPP stopped a vehicle on Richert Road near Kohler. Police said on July 28, 2024, at about 1:00 a.m., a member of the Haldimand detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was on patrol and saw a vehicle operating in an erratic manner. The officer conducted a traffic stop and upon speaking with the driver, OPP said the officer had reason to believe the driver had consumed alcohol. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the OPP detachment for testing.
