Feeling conflicted: We’koqma’q community members share thoughts on land claim settlement

Band member Amber Bernard shared her thoughts on the settlement, which range from excitement for her fellow We’koqma’q neighbours to sadness regarding the lasting effects of colonization. “When the offer was first given, I thought, ‘Oh wow, this is amazing,’ because it’s something that my grandparents and my parents have spoken about for most of their lives.
