Montour’s current team the Seattle Kraken squared off against the host Toronto Maple Leafs in a National Hockey League contest. Seattle eked out a 4-3 overtime victory. But Montour, a 31-year-old Six Nations member who is a defenceman in his second season with the Kraken, did not play in the match.
