Six Nations Firefighters Association donates to Ganohkwasra

The Six Nations Firefighters’ Association is stepping out from behind the Mother’s Day fundraising dinner to donate to Ganohkwasra. The Six Nations Firefighters’ Association donated $1,200 raised through the dinner organized and cooked by the firefighters. Six Nations’ Ganohkwasra provides shelter, counselling, and support for women, men, youth, children, seeking safety from violence. The association released a statement honouring Ganohkwasra. “Their dedication and support mean a great deal to us and will significantly help in providing essential services to families.” The donation was made Friday by left to right Captain Martin MacNaughton, Sandi Montour of Ganohkwasra, Brody Thomas, Braiden Shaw and Derek Foam.
