Six Nations Public Works may complete two green energy feasibility studies and ramp up community engagement. Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) post approved a motion from the Built Environment Committee to allow the Public Works department to apply for funding from the Independent Electricity Systems Operator Indigenous Support Program at its General Finance Meeting on September 16. Councillor Dayle Bomberry, chair of the Built Environment Committee said the post approval was necessary because the projects are ongoing, and the application deadline dates fell before the general finance meeting.
