By Sam Laskaris Writer Another successful Rez Hoops tournament is in the books. The three-day local basketball event concluded on Sunday. This marked the seventh year of the annual tournament. A record number of 20 squads took part in the event. All matches were held at the Dajoh Youth & Elders Centre. “It was awesome,” tournament director Kevin Sandy said of the event. “The gym was packed and we had an amazing time.” The tourney featured four age groupings, from elementary school children to adults. And Six Nations-based clubs ended up winning three of those divisions. Sandy is confident the tournament will continue to grow.
