Indigenous women’s leaders provide advice at Rama conference

Constant, the chief of Mattagami First Nation in northern Ontario, was a panelist at the Forward Summit conference earlier this month. The event was held at Casino Rama Resort, located on Chippewas of Rama First Nation. Constant was one of three panelists on a session titled Inspirational Women’s Series – Indigenous Women at the conference, staged to advance Indigenous prosperity. “Being a leader in the community I think is a little bit different than being in business,” Constant said. “But I think the same principles apply.
