BRANTFORD,ONT-A man wanted in relation to a stabbing in late July has been found and arrested, the Brantford Police Service (BPS) announced on August 6. Dameon Hunter, 42, of Brantford was found at a location on Brant Avenue where he was arrested and charged by BPS on August 5. On July 26, 2026, at around 2:40 p.m., BPS was dispatched to a lodging home at Dalhousie Street near Brock Street in downtown Brantford after receiving a report of an injured man and an assault. BPS determined that a verbal dispute between the victim and the suspect occurred before the victim was stabbed. The male suspect fled before BPS arrived and was subsequently wanted by police.
