By Brook Wagner, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, Medicine Hat News The Medicine Hat Police Service has more than tripled the number of body worn cameras it uses, raising the total from 26 to 86. The service said the expansion meets an Alberta government rule that requires all frontline officers to wear the cameras. It also said the change is meant to improve transparency, accountability and public trust. “Body-worn cameras are an important tool that supports both the public and our officers,” said Sgt.
