Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) thought it could sign a lands agreement with Brantford without giving a thought as to how the Haudenosaunee Confederacy Council or the Six Nations people would react ! Without warning the community or contacting the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Elected Chief Sherri-Lyn Hill simply held a closed-door meeting with the band council where a decision about lands Six Nations has an interest in was made. She did not suggest, as any previous leader has, that they may want to notify the Confederacy or the community about their plans.
