By Lauren Krugel Construction is underway on a major electricity transmission project in northern British Columbia that the federal and provincial governments say will inject billions into the provincial economy, drive new industrial development and assert Canada’s sovereignty in the face of U.S. threats. The North Coast Transmission Line expansion will link Prince George to Terrace near the North Coast, and is expected to more than double electricity supply to that region.
