Planning is underway over what comes next with Six Nations multi -billion-dollar land claim lawsuit expected to start next month The multi-billion suit is headed to trial on October 5, 2026. A Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) committee is in the beginning stages of finding out what the community needs and wants. SNEC’s Community Engagement Committee is preparing to gather input from community members that could help shape a future community action plan following the pending litigation involving the federal and provincial governments. The Community Engagement Ad Hoc Committee received SNEC approval of its terms of reference at the Sept., 22 council meeting.
