By Sam Laskaris Writer Ohsweken squad defends national title The Ohsweken Redmen have done it again. For the second consecutive year the local squad captured top honours in the senior men’s division at the Canadian Native Fastball Championships. This year’s national tournament was held in Prince George, B.C. Meanwhile, a Six Nations club also captured the women’s masters category at the annual tourney. The Ohsweken club defeated the host Prince George River Kings 5-1 in the championship final. Because of the time difference out west, the match did not start until 2 a.m. Eastern time on Monday morning. Three members of the Ohsweken team ended up with some individual accolades as well.
