Chiefs edged in overtime against youthful Brooklin Lacrosse Club

The veteran-laden Six Nations Chiefs travelled to Whitby on Wednesday to take on the youthful Brooklin Lacrosse Club in a Major Series Lacrosse contest. The Brooklin squad, playing its home opener, got off to a 4-0 start midway through the opening period. The Chiefs did mount a comeback and managed to send the match, held at the Iroquois Park Sports Complex, into a sudden-death overtime as the two teams were deadlocked at 10-10 following the third period. As it turned out, however, the Six Nations side left the rink empty-handed as Brooklin’s Zac Carrigan managed to net the OT winner at the 2:12 mark.
