OPP charge Ohsweken man with impaired driving

BRANT COUNTY, ON – A 42-year-old man  is facing charges after  Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)  conducted a traffic stop in the County of Brant early Monday morning. On Monday July 31, 2023, at about 2:04 a.m., a Brant County OPP officer initiated a traffic stop on Newport Road after observing a vehicle traveling on Cockshutt Road. A man was arrested and taken to the Brant County detachment for testing. Police have charged Brandon Martin, 42, from Ohsweken with the following offences: ·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs, ·        Failure or refusal to comply with demand and ·        Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor. The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a Brantford Ontario Court of Justice at a later date….
