With an election just two months away the current Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) seems determined to tie the financial hands of any incoming council SNEC is considering co-signing a $30 million loan to help Kawenni:io/Gaweni:yo build an elementary and secondary School. While we sympathize with the school’s struggle the decision to consider putting such a huge loan on the books of the band council certainly shouldn’t be left to a group of officials who’s days are numbered.
