Six Nations man named to Order of Canada

OTTAWA – Six Nations Indigenous knowledge keeper, Richard Wayne Hill Sr., has joined the list of appointments to the Order of Canada announced by Govern General. Richard “Rick” Hill is from the Beaver Clan of the Tuscarora Nation of Haudenosaunee on Six Nations of the Grand River Territory. He received an honorary appointment for his work in Indigenous art history and culture. He joined Willie Adams, the first Inuit senator and Willie Littlechild, a Cree Chief to the list of appointments to the Order of Canada.
