AFNQL delegation descends on NYC

By Marc Lalonde, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter A large delegation of Chiefs from the Assembly of First Nations of Quebec and Labrador were in New York this week to make an international appeal for the compliance and full implementation of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP). It marks the largest AFNQL delegation to attend the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) in over 20 years.
