Rivermen looking to avenge loss to Merchants

By Sam Laskaris Writer The Six Nations Rivermen will not have to wait long to avenge their only loss in regulation play this season. The Rivermen were downed 12-8 by the Brooklin Merchants in an Ontario Series Lacrosse match held this past Saturday at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby. The local Senior B squad is now gearing up to host the same Merchants, this coming Saturday on its home turf. That contest, at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, has an opening faceoff scheduled for 7 p.m. The Rivermen were missing several key players who were unable to attend Saturday’s match in Whitby.
