On National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, ‘our way of life is not ever going to be forgotten,’ says Inuk Elder

By Darrell Greer, Local Journalism Initiative Reporter, Kivalliq News Nunavut Elder Tagak Curley says it’s wonderful to see Nunavut’s youth aware of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and being taught the history of the occasion in schools. Curley said Truth and Reconciliation Day, marked on Sept. 30, is an important day on the calendar and is an ongoing issue for a number of Inuit.
