Six Nations lacrosse star Austin Staats will not be playing professionally any time in the near future. Staats, a member of the San Diego Seals of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) had previously been suspended for the first seven games of the 2024-25 campaign for an on-floor incident during last year’s playoffs. Staats was also arrested this past August by Brantford police and charged with various violent offences including assault and counts of threatening death or bodily harm.
