Federal government announces $8.2 million in housing funding for Membertou First Nation

In an announcement on Wednesday, Sydney-Victoria MP Jaime Battiste, speaking on behalf of Sean Fraser, minister of Housing, Infrastructure and Communities, joined Terry Paul, chief and CEO of Membertou, to unveil funding of $8.2 million in funds for Membertou First Nation provided through the third round of the Rapid Housing Initiative (RHI). Membertou First Nation has been granted approval and funding to construct 32 new modular single-family homes.
