Business backer undergoes refresh

By Sandi Krasowski  Local Journalism Initiative Reporter The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business has undergone a rebranding, introduction of new sub-brands, and name change to the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). Denise Pothier, the council’s chief operating officer, said the changes were timely as the organization celebrates its 40th anniversary. “When we reached this anniversary milestone, it gave us pause for a reflection on the incredible foundation that has been built in the 40 years of work that came before us, and then turning our sights to the future,” Pothier said. “It seemed like a nice point to be looking at making sure we are staying relevant for our communities while having a little bit of a rebirth.
