Wabun Tribal Council picks up leadership and innovation award

At the Power of Water Canada Technical Conference in Niagara Falls on May 8, Wabun Tribal Council (WTC) was presented with the Ontario Waterpower Association’s 2025 Leadership and Innovation Award. Mattagami First Nation Chief Jennifer Constant said the award reflects the progress being made in First Nations leadership across the region. “Wabun received it on behalf of the communities for their participation in developing policy,” she said. “So it feels great.
