Two dead, including suspect, in mass stabbing on Manitoba First Nation

By Steve Lambert HOLLOW WATER FIRST NATION, WINNIPEG-Two people, including a suspect, are dead after a mass stabbing on a First Nation in Manitoba. RCMP said at least six people were in hospital after the attack Thursday morning on the Hollow Water First Nation, about 200 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg. Health officials said two victims were airlifted to Winnipeg, while others were taken by ground ambulance. RCMP described the attack as a “senseless act of violence.” They said there’s was no longer a risk to public safety, but officers were to remain in the community as well as on a highway to the south near Black River First Nation.
