Councillor wants SNEC to learn more about domestic violence

Domestic violence is on the rise and Councillor Melba Thomas wants Six Nations Elected Council (SNEC) to learn more about the harm many community members and entire families face on a daily basis. Thomas told SNEC she believes councillors and staff could benefit from training to recognize and learn more about domestic violence. A virtual presentation was held at the SNEC’s Jan., 9th council meeting. “It’s at an all time high.
