‘Moving mountains not always enough’ to bring home Indigenous family members

The remains of Samuel Bird were found Oct. 16 in a rural area near Edmonton the day after a man was arrested and charged with multiple offences tied to his death, including second-degree murder. Bird, 14, was identified on surveillance video in Edmonton on June 1, before going to a friend’s place.
