Man charged after police seize $20,000 in drugs

By Austin Evans Writer A wanted person was stopped by police and arrested for drug trafficking. Six Nations Police officers were on proactive patrol on Second Line Road on July 2 when they observed a male known to have outstanding warrants in a motor vehicle. Following a traffic stop the male was taken into custody. Police said the man show signs of drug use within the motor vehicle, resulting in the driver also being placed under arrest. During a search of the vehicle, police seized bulk coloured Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $20,000. As a result of the investigation, 34-year-old Ohsweken resident Rylan Vanevery has been charged with possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and proceeds of crime under $5000.
